Teaching about Writing as a Spiritual Practice, and looking at my own practice, I have been observing how important it has been to me to let the words we sing and say in this season sink in to me, and sing in me.  I’m inviting my class at Virginia Seminary this evening to try on this practice.  And looking back at my own practice, I am pausing over the sequence of poems I wrote during Holy Week of 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic.  They are included in my latest collection, Viriditas.   And available here, as their own entity.  Readers will recognize some of the hymns and Bible passages woven through here.  The process of writing these poems was for me both a practice of attention.  Perhaps it will inspire others.    You can pull up this sequence, Pandemic Triduum” as a one-page handout, here
